Season ending tips

For most of the country the end of this month indicates the end of golf season.  Many of us have worked on our games and don’t want to put away the clubs yet. We don’t want to lose the good things about our game in the off season. So why not take a little time to ensure you don’t have to start from scratch next spring?Golf May 17 2002 023

Taking a few steps can really shorten you ramp up time next spring.  The first thing to do is pretty easy these days with phone cameras.  Get a friend and go to the range.  Take video of you swing with a few different clubs.  Video your swing from the target line, (golf ball to the target) and face on with a wedge, 6-iron and Driver.  You can review these with your golf instructor over the winter or just use them as a guide when you start to play again.

Take inventory and set new goals for the next season.  If your goal is to improve then a good idea is to understand the strength and weaknesses of your game.  So make a list of the components of your game then you can make new goals.  Rank each area from 1-10.Maui 3

In the off season spend some time stretching, practicing, getting stronger or doing anything that will make you happier, healthier and better at golf.
