There are many great associations providing access and tournament opportunities to young golfers. Tournament golf is an important part of Junior golf but more important is introducing young people to the game and all the life lessons it teaches. Nearly every golf course in the US has a junior program of some sort or knows of a program in the area. Many facilities offer group lessons, camps, discounted green fees, free or discounted junior equipment and the opportunity to create a new golfer. Hopefully the junior in your life will just learn to enjoy the game and maybe if everything works out that player could receive one of the many scholarships provided by most universities….
